In our experience, remote shooting with supported Panasonic cameras has been rather robust, as their companion smartphone app offers lots of control of numerous shooting parameters, and this is true for the GX850 as well. They've been flirting with a better entry level control layout for a while. The GX85 is not really a very cheap entry level camera. So the differentiator really is small with EVF/OVF. There are also several 'beautifying' filters that can be applied to make your selfie sing, including a 'Soft Skin' and a 'Slimming Effect' filter. When shooting moving subject like kids or pets indoors, the GX850 does not always choose a fast enough mode to freeze the action, even if it senses movement.
